We are planning a Great Get Together event at the community centre, and you're all invited! There will be an afternoon of fun activities and taster sessions, followed by a family disco and community barbecue.
It would be lovely to have some more helpers in the run up, and on the day, so do get in touch if you can spare some time. More to follow...

Limes Stay and Play Not running Until Further Notice
Unfortunately Tuesday's Limes Stay and Play session at the centre will not be running until further notice as discussions are still being had regarding the future of such groups around Bristol. We hope that this group will return, but in the meantime, our volunteer run group 'Time for Tots' will be here each Wednesday from 9.30am - 11.30am.

Mors Bag Making at the Centre Sunday 22nd April 2-4pm
A get together to make Morsbags out of recycled fabrics - get scouring the charity shops for old tablecloths, curtains etc. We will provide a warm comfy hall and lashings of tea.
Currently one sewing machine confirmed, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have one. No sewing experience necessary, Morsbags are really easy to make (and cutting out is all straight lines). Children welcome, as long as they come with a grown-up.

Space for new groups
Big changes at the community centre. One of our longest term hirers, Rebecca Reid School of Dance, will be leaving us after Easter for a new venue in Kingswood. We would like to wish Becky and her students all the best in their new home. Whilst we are obviously sad to see them go, this does open up the opportunity for new groups and classes at the community centre. We would love to hear your suggestions for what you would like to see.
We have regular slots available on Saturday mornings, as well as Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays after school. We are also keen to hear from you if you would like to organise a community event at the centre, we are always open to suggestions!

AGM - Sunday 4th March 2-3pm.
If you love St George, and want to get more involved in your local community, then you need to join us on Sunday 4 March. Now we know that the words Annual General Meeting sound very official (and dare we say it, dull?) But really this is your chance to get together with your neighbours over a cuppa and find out some of the things we have planned for the community centre this year.
We will present our accounts, so you can see where our money comes from and what we do with it. We will also be joined by Mark from UWE, who will be sharing some exciting plans we have for the outside space at the centre.
