Repair Cafe Sat 8th June 10.30am-1pm

We are very excited about our first meet up of St George Repair Cafe! Let's fix some stuff...

What do you do with a chair when the leg has come loose? With a toaster that no longer works? Or a woollen jumper with moth holes? Toss it? No way!
You can repair it at the Repair Café!

This is the first session of the St George repair cafe, and we would love to hear from anyone who has fixing skills to share. Also on the theme of re-use we will have book swap and plant swap tables, so please feel free to bring donations.

The community centre volunteers will be running a refreshment stall with tea/coffee and homemade cakes, any funds raised will go to the upkeep of the centre.

If you just want to come for coffee and a chat, then that's OK too :)

Breathing Better Meeting Sunday 13th January 7.15-9.15pm

Kerry McCarthy MP and Asher Craig St George Councillor will both be at the next St George Breathing Better meeting. We could be part of a pilot scheme which fines car owners who leave their engine idling near to schools, or a traffic exclusion order at drop off/pick up times on Plummers Hill, or for residents only parking in a radius around local schools. Anything to get traffic aka air pollution away from young developing lungs yeah?!
Come and be part of an action group which will fight to make a difference to the air we breathe
St George Community Centre, Sunday 13th Jan, 7.15pm. Tea and jaffa cakes to fuel our plans!
