Your community centre needs YOU!

Could you help run St George Community Centre?

We're looking for new people to join our management committee...

About us

St George Community Centre is an affordable venue for a diverse range of groups and activities. From Tai Chi to Toddler Groups, there's always plenty going on. We have a Community Asset Transfer from Bristol City Council (who own the building) and all the income we generate is used to maintain this vital community resource.

About you

  • You live or work in St George and want to make a difference to your community.
  • You can commit to a 2 hour meeting every 6 weeks.
  • You are able to join our keyholder rota to open/close the centre for occasional parties and events.
  • You have skills that could help run this community building. At the moment we're particularly looking for support with marketing and fundraising.

This is a voluntary position, but we can promise plenty of tea and biscuits at meetings. Plus we are a friendly and supportive bunch! If you're interested in joining us, please email us at stgeorgecc@hotmail.com explaining how your skills and experience could help St George Community Centre.

If you'd like an informal chat please call Tamsin Harcourt, chair of the management committee, on 07531 751 997.

St George Community Association Ltd is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee no 08152352 and a registered charity no 1150688.

Happy New Year

Happy new year from all of us at St George Community Centre. We're happy to report that all our regular groups are back this week, so if your new year resolution was to get active, why not check out our calendar? Click on What's On to find out more.

We have several things in the pipeline too, so keep an eye on our website and Facebook page to find out about new groups and activities at the centre. Don't forget that you can also sign up to our email newsletter.

And finally, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along to our Festive Fete in December. We're delighted to announce that we raised £344.41. This has paid for essential repairs to our accessible toilet, with a little left over.

We look forward to seeing you soon at the centre, it's going to be a great year!
